Detection Dog/handler training.
Here at Robinson Dog Training we also offer training for both dog's and handlers in the art of detection to produce a solid team.  A detector dog is a dog that has been trained to use it's keen sense of smell to find a particular odor.  The reason to use a detector dog are clear,  Speed, accuracy, and effectiveness.  They say a dogs nose is anywhere from 10,000 - 1,000,000 time stronger than our own sense of smell.  A trained trained dog team can reach effective rates of 99.98%. In the Air force when I started my dog training career I was assigned both drug and explosives detection dogs during my enlistment and trusted to provide sweeps for some of the worlds highest risk targets both people and resources.  I had one of the highest effective rates in the Air force and loved my job.  I still love it and have expanded my range of services to include detection dog training. There are are many options for training detection dogs and there are very different needs depending on the number of odors required.  We can train the dog for you or teach you to train it for basic odor recognition.  We can train the team in to get ready for nation certification.  We will teach you how to handle the dog, continue and maintain training and behavior.  We can even teach you about kennels and maintenance for a large number of dogs.  Regardless of your detection needs from big to small we are here to guide you every step of the way.A lot of regular people are looking for jobs that their dogs can do and detection work can be a fun and rewarding experience for you and your dog.  The principals and techniques we use can be applied to any dog with great results.  You can even use your own pet dog in most cases.  The most common odors that we use dogs to find are explosives and drugs.  However unless you are a law enforcement agency of VIP you probably have no need for these odors.  People with pet dogs most often train theirs dog for something different like mold or allergens such as peanuts, gluten, shell fish, wheat and the list goes on an on. It doesn't matter what the odor is we can help you train a dog to find it.  The nose knows.
Rent a bed bug dog team !!!
Bed bugs are back.  They were nearly eradicated in the U.S. But they have made a comeback and are only getting worse.  It is all over the news and closer to home than you think.  In order to counter the rise in bed bugs we have expanded our services to provide a cost effective and a fast means to detect bed bugs in your hotel, private residence, or place of business.  A bed bug infestation can get out of control quickly if not found early costing you thousands of dollars in furniture replacement, and treatments. Not to mention time, frustration and even business if the word gets out.  Here is why you should use a RDT K-9 team to sweep your property.  A human inspector can take as long as 30 minutes to search, is very intrusive needing to "tear the room apart" and does not even close to being as effective as a K-9 Team.  A RDT K-9 team can sweep the same area in about a minute,  we will not move things,  or destroy the room, and are in the 90th percentile for effectiveness.  You should trust RDT K-9 teams to meet or exceed industry training standards for K-9 detection.
Who Am I?
Bed Bug detection. My background and training stems from the Air Force in the late 90's as a military trained explosives detection dog handler and I had to meet very strict standards.  I was entrusted with the lives of thousands.  That drive for perfection carried on to the way I operate my bed bug detection dog program using the same principals and standards so you can be assured of the most accurate teams available.Upon completion of an alert free sweep your hotel or business will receive a certificate to display which certifies your facility as being bed bug alert free on the date of completion.  Sweeps  should be conducted quarterly to help detect or prevent an infestation.  Have peace of mind and let your clients know that you are taking proactive steps to ensure their comfort. Set up your first sweep  by calling us directly or call your local pest control company tell them you want to set up a RDT K-9 Bed bug search search.
